I see your point, but for me it's all about what's appropriate for each individual match. I didn't think any of the top three matches overstayed their welcome (despite Stadium Stampede being 33 minutes, it was exactly as long as it needed to be given what it was trying to accomplish), but I thought both Cody/Archer and MJF/Jungle Boy could have easily cut 5 minutes from their run times and lost nothing. Part of it is match construction (I've defended Cody quite a bit, but I'm seriously starting to get sick of the overbooking in his matches. Not everything needs to be worked like an NWA title blow off), and part of it is how appropriate the match is for the storyline (they're not really doing anything with Jungle Boy right now, so why is he going 17 with a guy you're pushing hard? A tight 12 would have made both guys look good all the same). I think they're getting better about this by the week, but sometimes AEW gets it into their head that they have to give a guy a certain type of good showing, which results in matches being longer than they need to be or doing more than they have to.
With that said, I've never ended an AEW PPV (or even a Dynamite, really) feeling unsatisfied, so they're still doing a lot right regardless. We're just pointing out a few of the cracks in the facade, so to speak.
