49ers won in losing. Had they won yesterday, they end up overpaying Garoppolo

Dude is a game manager at best . They win yesterday’s game and Jimmy wins MVP, they are overpaying for a very average qb for the next 7 years. I think they know they have to continue looking for a qb. They avoided an albatross around their necks.

I can’t lie I had Alex Smith flashbacks last night. It kinda feels like we miss out on another window because our QB is too pedestrian.

we already paid him in 2018 though. His deal is up after the 2022 season. He got this upcoming season and 2021 to see if he's worth an extension past 2022.

After that shyt last night. :francis:

Yeah man. He is nothing without play action. Any 3rd and 6 and longer, I felt like they were dead in the water because he doesnt have it. Felt like I was watching Mark Sanchez being coached in those AFC championship games

He's clearly better than Mitch tho
No he isnt. Hes clearly only as good as play action allows him to be.

64% of his throws come out on play action. The Bears arent the Niners. He wont have a running game in Chi giving him that luxury, so you’d end up watching Mitch all over again in Jimmy.
Dont get caught up, breh. I see nothing with him beyond being a one read passer depending on play action
