Nobody is reading all that breh!
You forgot Shula’s Dolphins as well (who they did beat)I know he’s a HOF with 2 rings but I also thought Tom Landry was even still underrated cause he had to be l against the Lombardi packers dynasty, that rolled into the Steelers dynasty, that also became the 49ers 80’s dynasty. He has 2 Super Bowl losses to all time great Steelers teams
The only piece to replace is Kelce and he been in steep decline the last two years and they still here. The difference in this case is most of those teams faced issues with players getting older and free agency kicking teams ass as they couldn't afford to keep the core together. At some point the teams had to go through a rebuild which usually isn't successful. The last three years were supposed to be that rebuild period for the Chiefs after losing Tyreek. Instead they completely nailed that draft and were able to get a lot younger and add a lot more depth. They have two of their WR spots solidified for the next 2-3 years on rookie contracts. They have Karlaftis, McDuffie, Chanel, Cook and Watson for cheap for another 2 years if they pick up 5th year options. If Wanya Morris and/or Suamatia can get it together next year they'll have a lot of money to fill any other weaknesses
Yea the knock on him is that he “only” has 2 rings but look at his competionYou forgot Shula’s Dolphins as well (who they did beat)
Im with you. His blackmark is the QB carousel woth Morton and Stauach, which likely cost them the championship in 1970. If Jackie Smith doesnt drop the ball, they likely beat the best Steelers team of them all. He was so close to two back to backs.Yea the knock on him is that he “only” has 2 rings but look at his competion
Also I liked that when his best qb ever retired he kept the ship afloat winning 10 plus games a year for several years in the 1980’s
He also lost the famous ice bowl close.Im with you. His blackmark is the QB carousel woth Morton and Stauach, which likely cost them the championship in 1970. If Jackie Smith doesnt drop the ball, they likely beat the best Steelers team of them all. He was so close to two back to backs.
And he was offensive and defense coordinator and changed both sides of the ball with formations.Yea the knock on him is that he “only” has 2 rings but look at his competion

Yeah, he did. Dont forget that the year becore the Ice Bowl, they lost to GB due to Don Meredith throwing a pick in.the endzone. He truly has some excruciating losses on his resume. They were about to beat SF, when Eric Wright grabs Drew Pearson from behind. A play or two later, strip sack on Danny White..ballgame!! He was wayy ahead of his time in terms of concepts and innovations. Defensive masternind who became an offensive mastermind..He also lost the famous ice bowl close.
There is an alternate reality somewhere with Landry having like 6-7 chips and being seen as the GOAT
Great posting. Just typed this in the response that I was finishing. And he was offensive and defense coordinator and changed both sides of the ball with formations.
He is one of the GOAT coaches.
