8 million to 9 million people live in a city that ridiculously priced. For every person that leaves 6 recplace them. You can get 8 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms in a place like Tennessee. THERE...IS....A....REASON


Nah according to the coli there's no reason to live in NYC , when NYC is the most transplants of any city in the us. But the coli knows better.

How was the assesment only $18-20k??

For the Fort Worth house:

It was built in 2016 so there's no tax history.

But to compare this house: 5232 Wyndrook St, Fort Worth, TX 76244 - realtor.com®

The taxes was $8k last year :huhldup: assesment was $297k. Somebody that knows more about this gotta break it down. How come the assesement for the NY crib was only $20k making the tax $3.6k while the assement for the TX crib was $297k making the taxes $8k??? :gucci:
Assessments are just values that the city assigns to your home. To charge more property tax. Doesn't mean the home is worth that in the current market. Property tax rates vary from city to city.

I have a home in the DFW. My yearly taxes without a homestead is 3500 :francis: and only have a 3 bed 2 bath with 2500 sq

When it comes time for the house to be valued and taxed and you've got somebody willing to play ball, you can hire an independent assessor and appeal the value of your home. I've seen a few, and by few I mean literally only 3, people do it, and their houses were all 400k+. You pay the assessor to come in and say your property is worth way less than it is, appeal the original valuation and get your tax bill lowered. Then when it comes time to sell your house you do the same thing but in reverse. It's a hustle, no surprise they're on it in NY. :manny:

Not that surprising. If you got the bread to really enjoy living in expensive paces then by all means do so.

I wouldn't recommend living there and struggling just to get by.
