Obvious size and aesthetics of homes aside, I wonder what those taxes looking like though...TX has some heavy property taxes, but no income taxes...but NY has high income taxes, but not sure about property taxes.

I think in Texas if you have cows grazing on your property, your property taxes go way down...

If you don't have established roots in NY then it makes no sense to live there unless you are rich, and it would make less sense for anyone to move there under any circumstances unless they have no kther options. That 450k house would cost maybe 175k where I live. @beaniemac you see this? :mjlol:
:ohhh:

Fort Worth is a little too far from where we both work tho.

21911 142nd Rd, Jamaica, NY 11413 | MLS #2928380 | Zillow
According to the info there the taxes on the NY house was:
YEAR PROPERTY TAXES CHANGE TAX ASSESSMENT CHANGE

2016 $3,625 -- $20,088 +1.4%
2015 $3,625 +70.7% $19,819 +6.0%
2014 $2,123 -- $18,698

How was the assesment only $18-20k??

For the Fort Worth house:
5124 Windstone Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76244 | MLS #13614840 | Zillow
It was built in 2016 so there's no tax history.

But to compare this house: 5232 Wyndrook St, Fort Worth, TX 76244 - realtor.com®

The taxes was $8k last year  assesment was $297k. Somebody that knows more about this gotta break it down. How come the assesement for the NY crib was only $20k making the tax $3.6k while the assement for the TX crib was $297k making the taxes $8k??? :gucci:
