When I saw this, I thought for sure domestic incident, personal crime of passion, where one person murders another, and than the witnesses, usually a love triangle or something like that.
There was on in San Diego about 10 years ago where some Air Force pilot killed his friends sister, whom he was in love with, her brother who was his best friend, and the guy she brought home with her after a holiday party.
But, the fact they haven't ID'd a killer, or at least said, the killer is among the victims is strange. It still may happen, one of the victims, probably the male, kills all three and than himself, and the police are still sorting through the damage?
Killing someone with a knife is a personal, intimate crime, killing 4 is pretty extreme, you would have to move quick, or when they were asleep. Would be an interesting and confusing crime scene, potentially. Unlikely there is some sort of serial/spree killer, the answer is right in that room where the bodies were found.
Killer is going to be closely tied or connected to the victims, in his early 20's, male, possibly intoxicated at the time of the killings. There is going to be some sort of inciting incident, like a love affair unraveling, a job loss, a rejection, a humiliation.

Two days later, it’s well maybe you should be concerned and oh yeah, there were two other people in the house as well.
Last time seen alive they were ordering at a food truck and two hours later dead. Potential suspect in the hoodie behind them.
A reporter put out a tweet saying the two people in the house didn’t call 911 but then deleted the tweet.
