Im against the dna sharing shyt and police abusing it. But the case you described is not an example of using dna maliciously. Society benefited from that instance.
Going by that logic victims of any crime shouldn't give police their DNA or personal information because it can potentially be used against them even unbeknownst to them. If they had a suspicion that she was guilty or a suspect of that robbery, then they should have through the proper means to get access to her DNA instead of using that particular instance to do so. It's a reason why she's suing them and rightfully so.
Give law enforcement any wiggle room or loophole and we've seen how they can and will overstep their boundaries.

Out of all the theories this is the most ridiculous one. The second most ridiculous is that the guy and his girlfriend were selling drugs for him and ran off on the plug.
The one that makes the most sense to me is that one girl from each room was targeted. That would explain why the downstairs roommates were unharmed and why he went into two separate rooms on two separate floors. If he was fukking the dude he would've entered, killed him and his girlfriend then left. But he went upstairs into a separate room with two girls (probably only expected one since the other didn't live there anymore) and killed both who were there.
Everything seems to point to Xana and Madison being targeted. Those were their rooms, worked at the same restaurant, were in the same sorority. If this was indeed targeted and the killer was familiar with them that makes the most sense. It also could have been completely random and he just staked out the house for a while and noticed so many people going in and our during peak college party season.
Unfortunately it will probably be a while before we are made aware of a motive from LE with the gag order and all. Fortunately that gag order does not prevent the PCA from be released.
