You cant compare the two imo. Jordans creativity and passion to become the best is something we probably will never see again. Bron is à different player..much more team driven.

Jordan was a fool wit that air reverse. nikka had everybody in the hood tryna do it. I remember I tried doing it during a game in the 8th grade and threw the ball off the bottom of the backboard. Coach got pissed cuz we stayed doing it in practice on some hotdog shyt. nikka benched my ass.:snoop:
I had my share of embarrassing misses after making one of those back-to-the basket reverse layups (by accident) :sadbron:

didnt realize mj started out shooting the fadeaway in fukking college, no wonder it was GODLY when he went to it almost exclusively late in his career

Same here

Another thing that got me thinking is that it looks like a lot of his creativity came from actually AVOIDING contact and block shots, like twisting in the air, going up and under (who really does up and unders anymore?), switching hands etc...like now when a player A pump fakes a player B and B jumps, A will jump INTO B to get the foul (like Wade). But MJ would jump sideways and get that spectacular shot off, same when he would drive, he would go around/over defenders. In some twisted way, this got me thinking that changing the rules and being more severe with fouls on the defensive side of the court has actually led offensive players to not have to create as much as before, which in turn has led to less talented offensive players. I'm talking about in how many ways they can actually score: Durant can score, but he doesn't have a lot of moves IMO if you see what I mean.

Anyway watching this is :to:

at some points you can see at least 4 players committing to challenge jordan's shot, but he would just fade like it was nothing.

they couldn't, that's why in that stretch, if he didn't go play baseball, that was 8 titles in a row (and more if krause didnt cause the team to blow up by not giving phil enough respect)

I went to this game with my pops -

Chicago Bulls at New Jersey Nets Box Score, April 11, 1996 | Basketball-Reference.com

My older cousin got me the tickets back in December, so I had no clue at that time I'd be seeing the best team in NBA history when he gave me the tickets.

Washington Bullets at Chicago Bulls Box Score, April 27, 1997 | Basketball-Reference.com

Went to this one. :wow:
