damn is PBC scared Tank might really catch that L :picard:
trying control the rematch in the scenario where your guy gets his ass whupped is kind of extra, if Ryan wins he the new division cash cow if we being honest. GB got a solid argument, PBC really be trying make guys bend over backwards and get fukked in the negotiations

The forthcoming fight between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia will be one of the most anticipated matchups boxing has to offer in 2023.
Slated to take place on April 15, the mega-fight has many of the sport’s figures already talking about the mouthwatering matchup, with one of them being Davis confidant and former four-division champion Adrien Broner.
“Tank isn’t going to fight Ryan like he fought Hector [Luis Garcia] at all. He’s not going to fight him that way, so you can’t really base your opinion on that fight,” Broner said in an interview with Marcos Villegas on Fight Hub TV.
“Ryan is not going to fight the way he fought in his previous fights against Tank. I think it’s going to be very competitive in the beginning, but as the fight unfolds and as the rounds go on, I think Tank is going to start closing the distance, touching on Ryan, and get the job done.
“I’m close with Ryan, but I’m more close with Tank, but I just think Tank has got what it takes to beat them all. Tank has got the defense to where he ain’t got to let Ryan hit him.
“He’s really that talented. He ain’t got to let Ryan hit him. I just see Tank touching Ryan, and if anybody know, Ryan always gets hit with straight left hands all the time. If Tank lands that left hand like that, it might be good night Irene. But Ryan is a hell of a fighter, he’s got the heart of a lion and he’s going to keep fighting. So, Tank is going to have to put him out, but Ryan is going to keep scratching. Ryan is going to keep fighting for sure. These are two elite fighters in their prime. “Of course, it can go to 12, but there’s a big probability that it doesn’t go to 12. I’m favoring Tank a lot in this fight.
Davis versus Garcia will take place at a catchweight of 136 pounds on Showtime pay-per-view at a venue still to be determined.
Meanwhile, the Cincinnati-bred Broner (34-4-1, 24 KOs) is preparing to revive his career at the age of 33.
Broner signed a deal with BLK Prime in October that he says guarantees him three fights over a 12-month span,
Broner is set to return to the ring on Feb. 25 against Hank Lundy at the Gateway Park Arena in Atlanta.
Broner has fought only one time since dropping a unanimous decision against Manny Pacquiao in January 2019.

These young MFers don't want to fight each other. Its ridiculous that all these undefeated title holders around or in the same weightclass aren't fighting each other. fukking embarrassing. They are quick to go back and forth on Twitter though

I hate the narrative that ANY pro fighter is “scared”, the audacity of regular nikkas to use that word with nikkas that do this shyt for a living. Moreso this screams Al tryna protect his investment. Garcia’s side being cool w no rematch let’s me know they just want the fight made. Even Ryan’s comments mirror that.

Didn't state that they were but a good number of fighters are content with not taking risk. I've amateur boxed and hung around other fighters (boxers and mixed martial artists) and there is a little fear but a lot of bravado that is used to cover it up and psych yourself up. A fighter knows when they are in their with a killer and someone that is above their level skillwise. That can lead to some hesitation. I wouldn't dumb it down to calling it scared or any derogatory terms most couch potato boxing fans use, but there is some second guessing with some fighters.
