He (Jake Paul) started the sparring going hard, and I hit him with a jab in the end of the first round and his nose started to bleed,” Perez said to AgFight.

“From that point on we started to fight. I called for him to beat me up and he was afraid, just circling and staying out of my range. Of course, he is able to box and has a good cross, but he is clearly not a fighter — just an adventurous (type).”

“Askren is a real fighter. He will close the distance and beat him up around the body and liver, just like I did. A fight is always a fight, anything can happen, but I believe he will knock Paul out around the second or third round.”

What a shytshow :mjlol:

He actually doesn't look half bad here. Punches looking heavy. Jake should still win cause he's far bigger and he's done far more boxing than Ben. But the end of the day Ben is still the only "pro" fighter in this matchup. So I'm always gonna respect that. I KNOW Ben can handle adversity cause he's been in actual wars. Can't say the same for Jake.

People are forgetting Jake has only fought two guys with zero fighting experience. None. Jake is not a pro fighter. He's barely an amateur. There's a reason he chose askren. Cause he's the absolute safest pick out of all the pro fighters out there. This fight is Jake dipping his toes in the water and trying to see what he's really made of. He don't want any smoke with real heavy hitters. Jake needs to end this early cause if it goes to the later rounds and he starts to gas I don't have any confidence that he can handle that type of adversity. Ben isn't about to box him. He's gonna try to maul him and wear him down. If Jake's stamina gives out it's anybody's fight.

I'm still picking Jake but this is still a wild card fight. Boxing amatuer who's only fought two bums and has never been tested in his life. Vs a Pro fighter with horrible hands but he's faced killers and walked though fire. It really comes down to whether or not he can take Jake's power. If Ben can take Jake's punches it's gonna get interesting.

Just saw Askren's new video.

Punching on his toes, chin tucked, hands up, semi-decent lateral movement, crisp punching. Still looks a bit square; more of an mma stance. I think it's a possibility he could have playing possum in his previous videos.
