this is why you aren't a scientist.
:heh:

I'll paypal you $400 dollars if you can tell me why ur a dikkhead, specifically towards a god such as myself. I mean, one option for your HL crew is to Actually contribute to threads....

J.B.S. Haldane (1892 to 1964), a geneticist noted for his work on abiogenesis.
V.Axel Firsoff (1910 to 1981), British astronomer.
Peter Sneath (1923 to 2011), microbiologist, author of the book Planets and Life.
The physicist Gerald Feinberg (1933–1992) and the chemist Robert Shapiro (1935–2011), co-authors of the book Life Beyond Earth.
The American chemist George Pimentel of the University of California, Berkeley.
Isaac Asimov, biochemist and science fiction writer.
Carl Sagan, astronomer.
Robert A. Freitas Jnr, specialist in nano-technology and nano-medicine; author of the book Xenology.
The Cambridge biologist William Bains, a contributor to the journal Astrobiology.
John Baross, oceanographer and astrobiologist, who chaired a committee of scientists under the United States National Research Council which in 2007 published a report on life's limiting conditions. The report addresses the concern that a space agency might conduct a well-resourced search for life on other worlds "and then fail to recognize it if it is encountered".

:heh: Stay laughing at you guys.... Peace :heh:

Earthlike planets are sought after because:

A) We know for a fact life can exist on planets that fit certain parameters (Earth)

B) It gives us hope that one day humans can leave Earth if needed and colonize and carry on

C) Its actually really hard to find a planet. Stars are so bright and massive that its next to impossible to find anything orbiting them using Earth based tools. There are a couple techniques but not many. Most of the planets we end up finding have large gravitational fields that slightly perturb the stars own orbit. Or we literally see the light get dim form the star from a passing planet.

The sad part is we could be a lot further along if our society cared more about space exploration. We haven't been on the moon since 1972

We've got a spacecraft in Mercury's orbit and a robot cruising around on Mars, so fukk a moon

Muslims don't believe, and have never believed that science conflicts with the Quran.
THEN WHY WAS IT SO EASY TO FIND ISLAMIC SCHOOLS WHERE ISLAMIC TEACHERS TELL MUSLIM STUDENTS THAT EVOLUTION IS NOT REAL, BROTHER?

(SKIP TO ABOUT 9 MINUTES, DUDE!)

The great scientific minds of HL tell me that carbon based life is the only thing out here poppin.. The Mosque tells me different

I SINCERELY DOUBT THAT YOUR IMAM HAS EVER LECTURED ON SILICON-BASED LIFE ON METHANE-ATMOSPHERE PLANETS OR ANYTHING SIMILAR TO THAT, MEAN GENE!

thanks for the vid BROTHER! that was so enlightening :stopitslime:

It's easy to find anything that fits caricatures.

You doubt that a Mosque would mention anything scientific.. then how the fukk would I know any of this shyt?? How would I be able to correct the Honorable H.L. Scientist on these facts?? How, when everyone knows I'm Muslim and Muslims avoid higher education like the plague and don't read about scientific shyt because it's sinful. You're telling madd ducktales Hogan, I'm too busy molesting 9 year old lil girls to even consider possible alternatives to carbon-water biochemistry. You must think it's easy plotting terror attacks and oppressing women. :jawalrus:

YOU TOLD US MUSLIMS DON'T HAVE DISAGREEMENTS WITH SCIENCE, BROTHER! I SHOWED YOU A NUMBER OF MUSLIMS WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN EVOLUTION, DUDE! AND THERE ARE PLENTY MORE EXAMPLES OUT THERE GLOBALLY, MEAN GENE! EXAMINE YOURSELF CRITICALLY AND REALLY ASK YOURSELF IF YOU'RE AT THIS STAGE, BROTHER:

Japan, but from the 989
in before creationist comments

in all seriousness, whats so hard about inventing a telescope that can show us that sh1t in great detail from earth?

its possible

The Speed of light is the main problem. When you look up at the "stars" you are actually looking at what a star used to look like thousands of years ago. When it comes to distance and light...well light is. :flabbynsick:

150 years from now we will have to find a habitable planet because this planet will be fukked beyond measure. Looking at the rate of population here, unless we have a natural disaster that takes out at least 1/3 of the population we are going to start having issues with overcrowding and lack of resources. You want to see a real war, let another country have access to clean water while another country doesn't. China has too many men and not enough women=War. Pollution is out of control in India and Indonesia. And America is going to have issues with a rich class and a poor class. Humans will need to find another planet to rape...cough cough..I mean inhabit.

And since we are the topic of interplanetary exploration and colonization...We need to put some plants on the surface of Mars. That was the plan Nasa had back in the 90s. In about 50 years the planet would have a somewhat breathable atmosphere.
