North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
My first car was a BMW. I got it for free, but must’ve put $4000 into it. I couldn’t even sell that bytch. Had to give it away for $150.

Once upon a time I copped a 2002 Audi A4 for $2900. One year later I put a little over $6000 into fixing shyt on it. The last thing that broke down on it was the cat converter. I gave up and sold it to a junk yard for $250.

I could’ve let it go sooner but the more I put into it, the more I didn’t want to let it go :mjcry:.

yeah, I had to put an alternator into mine a week before I got rid of it. That was the one time it left me stranded. The mechanic said he was scared while driving it. Thats how bad it was

Earned my shade tree mechanics degree from YouTube university. When I have the time I can get a full engine swap done (did on a Bmw z3 in the past over a weekend and had a lot of fun).
You really have to know
A. Where to find cheap food quality parts
B. Who has the cheapest labor rate with good quality work to handle your car if you can’t work on it yourself
C. Know the ins and outs of your vehicle

if you don’t take the time to learn about your cars systems and how they work you’re going to get butt fukked on repairs because mechanics WILL run them pockets.

I’ve owned over 25 Vw’s audis and 2 bmws and know the game.

Are VW Golfs reliable?

I want a hatchback for my next car

I’m on my second gti. Both were headaches but that might have something to do with how I drive and the bigger turbos I put on them.

I can only speak to the gti, but if you get one, get a 2015 or newer. The older ones (06-2014) have major design flaws (can follower / timing chain tensioner) and you will have to replace the head, or the whole motor like I did.

This is hilarious because I live in a working class area apartment and their is literally a BMW that has been sitting there for a long time. It’s been sitting there so long it has a flat tire.

shyt looks nice until you get close enough to see it has a flat tire and you be like :scust:
