That would only cripple the global financial system but, who cares? :leon:

 Europe has a financial system, and not only that the financial system is powered by all the companies in California anyway from the actual money, to what actually makes it run in the first place  New York City is just a place that its located, the financial system could be relocated to kansas city and nothing would change :pachaha:

There is no global financial system without Silicon Valley :smugbiden:

Just seen that Staten Island actually wasn't included in this study :dead: that would obviously lower the average, but it wouldn't make a nice round number like 3000 as a talking point. :heh:

how much they paying a month?

I'm not sure, But I'm sure google would probably know.

New York aint for everyone. If you like space, quiet and freedom then NY aint for you. shyt is compacted and always moving.

When it comes to the rent you also gotta factor in a couple of thangs. Mostly that in the city you DONT need a car. So factor in the money you save from leasing, insurance, gas, maintenance and jus put that towards you rent.

Me personally even if I had dough I wouldnt move to Manhattan or even Brooklyn for that matter. Only places I would live in NY would be the nice spots in Uptown or Queens.

Since im from here I have no intentions of eva leaving the state. However if I was from down south or sum shyt, I would prolly move to ATL and call it a day.

Power
anti-NYC brigade in full force again I see, keep hating :salute:

that being said if I were born and raised outside NYC there'd be no way I'd want to go live there

:heh: @ people wanting to live here and me living here all my life and never took advantage of anything either.

EXACTLY.

If you had a good set up elsewhere unless you were in to make a big raise in NYC there is no advantage to moving to NYC. Noone should go out of their way to aim for a lower standard of living or a tiny living space.

im staying in nyc for now cause i wanna stay close to the rest of the fam. most of them are in manhattan or the bronx with some across the water in jersey.

i love NYC and i think it is the capital of the world and i say fukk u anti-nyc nikkas :pacspit:

but i want to own a home in the suburbs one day. nyc is cool and all but it is way too expensive to live here. right now im looking for an apartment and the cheapest rent is in the mothafukking bronx or brooklyn :aicmon: the 2 biggest shytholes in the city.

gonna end up in inwood or marble hill or the heights most likely. 1 bedroom for 1200. fukkit.

You're absolutely right. Instead of that $750 billion bailout, we should've let everything burn down because hey, Europe still has a financial system :leon:

Not even close

You thinking just Hollywood, NYC is movies, music, books, newspaper, news... Every damn media outlet under the sun

:dahell: :why:

LA movie scene > NYC movie scene (this aint even close, I cant believe you even brought NYC movie scene up)

LA music scene > NYC music scene by far, this aint the 90s, every musician lives in LA now because thats where all the record labels and studios are.

LA county has almost as many people as the entire New york State so how the fukk yall newspaper gonna be more active than LA ? :dahell:

when it comes to media it aint even close

the one and ONLY thing New York got over California is the stock market, which is ironic, cause all the biggest corporations in the world outside of banks are based out of california or over seas :wow:

What's more important? Living in a bigger house and living a boring life? Or living in a smaller pad but living the fukking life and not having to live vicariously through what they show on tv?

I moved to NYC, but when I got here I was like :mindblown::wow2::blessed:

What you know about partying in happening spots 7 days a weeks, going to listening parties of musicians you know, every artist stopping in your city to perform, the most most amount of beautiful and HORNY women in the world in one place....
