the diff between new yorkers and other poor people is that you aren't going to hear people anywhere else deluding themselves into thinking they're living the life because they're in proximity of things they can't and probably will never afford

DC is on its way to NYC status with the rent. Why pay an arm and a leg to live in the city, but not be able to afford to do anything after you pay your bills? I want to move to Houston SO bad!

I miss Atlanta. I am paying for a room which would cost me the same amount for a nice condo on Atlantic Station. :smugdraper:

DC just too expensive but the opportunity for business shyts on Atlanta all day. If don't already have it in Atlanta, getting money from the bank is like pulling out teeth and that's if you have great credit and history running a business. DC area banks are free with their money like have it. Do what you want :usure:

New York is a chit hole.

Crappy weather, thugs every where, grown men sagging their pants down talking like urban teenagers, urban decay, every takes the subway, hoodrats .

I don't understand why anyone would want to live there.

:patrice:

I'm pretty sure all cities in America have these issues breh.

:heh: at you mentioning everyone taking the subway like that's a flaw.

Rich people take the subways and buses too. Its not a matter of being rich or poor, it just doesn't make sense. Just parking a car in the city is like $500 a month... double that if you need another garage by your job. An unlimited Metrocard is like $120 :aicmon:

I used to ride my motorcycle and bike to work sometimes... cars would be sitting still. A trip on the train that takes 15 minutes would take an hour during rush hour. Go to NYC before speaking on it

oh you're right ive never been there. forest hills in queens isnt ny and i was never there where my uncle n aunt live with their 2 kids who are my cousins

and no my clothes weren't reeking after a long day of walking around and sitting on decrepit trains and germ covered seats who you're right are shared by rich and poor people alike.. that's supposed to be a consolation when i bring home a layer of filth and germs and pathogens all over my clothes because i had to sit in a soup of germs to get from point A to point B

:heh: My boy is moving from the FAR 'burbs and wants to be closer to the city, but still even in the 'burbs of Northern VA. He's got sticker shock on rent because it's the same or higher than what he's paying for his mortgage on a 1 bedroom place.

Dawg I lived in NYC for 28 years... I never came home smelly because of the subway. Yes the city can make you sick but that shyt strengthens your immune system after a while. Dont get me wrong, I hate the subway too... along w/many other things in NYC

But you are wrong about a car being a viable means of getting around anywhere there is a subway in NYC. I would also say 1 visit isn't really enough to make a full fair assessment of the city either

My parents house is paid off and will be left for me and my sisters so no matter what we always got a place to live :win:
