cause no one in the history of ever has ever associated SF BAY AREA as a metropolitan area, they look at it as one unified area, just like New york City

secondly, I'm talking about what it is, you talking about what people "consider". People in the bay don't rep the bay. they rep "east oakland" "Vallejo" etc etc. and people who live in SF damn sure don't say "I'm from the sf bay area "
. If they don't rep SF in general then they say "i live in the mission" "i life in nobb hill". SF is its own city, with its own culture and even its own damn weather separate from the bay area. nobody who knows what they are talking about considers it all one city

im born and raised in the bay never lived anywhere but the bayeverytime im in LA or anywhere (went to vegas just last month) if I said vallejo or something they gonna be like "oh you from the bay"

Arizona doesn't have that many black folks there. From what I could tell...
When I was visiting trying to find other black folks there was like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
But then again, I was in Phoenix and Scottsdale. There's more Whites & Mexicans than black folks there.
Scottsdale is like one big suburb.
Sorry, but I like living in diverse places....I would never go there.

I loved the weather. I loved the scenery...but that was it.
I feel like Phoenix and Scottsdale is on some wanna-be LA shyt. Lots of vain women that "need makeup" that looked like they stepped out of a B-grade reality TV show with rich plastic surgeon husbands and stuff. Fake new-age hippie granola eating yoga moms. Kids on dope. Sure, the places are nice...the roads are new, the buildings are new...but the scene there really isn't my thing. I feel like it's perfec for colllege kids, but I don't know if a 20-something single professional like myself would dig it out there. I just like being around like minded people and I felt there wasn't enough of that at the time I visited there.
This is only my view of it. Don't take it as anything other than yet another opinion on a forum.
born n raised in SF, but nobody's gona compare the entire bay area to one city. reasons why 5 city sized boroughs combine to make one city notwithstanding, nyc is a single city and shouldnt be compared to metro areas.
secondly, SF is a world class alpha city with its own merits, and considering it doesnt even have a million people in it speaks for what it has to offer. SF doesn't need the rest of the bay area to be world class

SF aint even the most populated city in the Bay Area
thats only because NYC has 5 burroughs, which count as 1 city (I have no idea why) but the Bay Area which is a bunch of cities combined to be 1 area has more people than NYC
so why compare NYC to SF and not the Bay Area, which is the same thing as NYC (a bunch of cities making it 1 city)
if you arent gonna do that, then you gotta compare Queens to San Francisco or similar population

The entire San Francisco Combined Statistical Area, which includes 7 metropolitan areas has 8.370 million people. That includes San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Napa, Vallejo, Stockton, Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa.
The city of New York has 8.336 million people. Your entire CSA has 8,800 square miles of land compared to 302 square miles in New York City yet there's only has 30,000 more people. Annexing 302 sq miles to make San Francisco even with NYC still wouldn't put you on top cuz you barely beating them with all seven of your fukking metropolitan areas

that other dude is on point about AZ, the black population is so small its not even worth mentioning. You'll get more diversity in Phoenix than in Scottsdale or Tucson.
And yes, if you look at Phoenix as baby LA then Scottsdale is baby Beverly Hills. Mostly rich folks and high class snobbery. shytloads of athletes, celebrities, and overall wealthy mufukkas have homes in Scottsdale.
