I will explain the significance of the Biggie and Nas shyt. Then u turn around and say the same shyt over and over. “No idea’s original”. Then u completely ignored why I said that frame of thought wasn’t looked at that way when it came to that situation. U turn around and say the SAME quote again fam. Come on. Lol.

And I agreed, yes, that was considered biting back then.

And I said, yes, the album covers are similar

Biggie was literally with Pac everyday at one point. Pac was bringing him on stage having him perform. He even asked Pac to manage him at one point. Biggie was a part of Thug Life. I don’t give a fukk what Snoop n Dre were doing. Pac was the most famous person in HIS circle. Movie star. Gold selling artist. Y’all nikkas annoying as fukk.
U said the props don’t match the influence

what did u think biggie should done to stroke Pac ego?

edit: only like 5% of the questions I ask on this site ever get a answer lol

Whatever it was Pac felt like it could’ve been more. I think they barely got a mention in his linear notes in his album booklet. I think they was mentioned on some fly by shyt and not really a proper shout out being how close they were.

Biggie was cool with Pac, they were friends, yes.

Them being friends is beside the point, Pac was friends with a lot of people, not all of them sleepin on his couch. I asked you was Biggie in 2pac's camp, that's a rethorical question because of course he was. The issue is, in that scenario, where do YOU draw the line between stealing and 'influence'. If a nikka is opening up for you, a defacto member of YOUR group and starts using your influence OUTSIDE YOUR CAMP how you supposed to respond?

You got Maj in real time watching Pac go :ohhh: at this and decided to draw his line where he saw fit, that's not paranoia.

I'm tired of telling these hip hop neophytes that rap style originated from Scarface and not Ballerina P. But its like like tryna give knowledge to a rock. nikka Biggie references the Geto Boys and Rap A Lot on albums but some how these retarded stans expect us to believe that Biggie got it from Ballerina P when Scarface invented that style, made it popular and his song is actually sampled on the Biggie album.

These nikkas living in the twilight zone

Dude bringing the Geto Boys up but yet you had Willie D out there biting Pac's whole style :mjlol:

Sunzoo I’m disappointed in u. Normally u well spoken with your arguments. U ain’t say shyt breh with your explanation.

Because it's obvious for people not being purposely obtuse.

Ready to die was life of a corner boy. That’s not 2pac lane

shyt I might as well say Big bit Jay RD with LAD. Big wasn’t talking that boss shyt money shyt til after RD dropped.

but people would say I’m bugging get off jay nuts

Biggie was biting a lot of people.

:yeshrug:

Out of Cease own mouth, Biggie thought Jay was better than he was, why not?. You had nikkas in Wu-Tang getting ready to put hands on him for biting, it is what it is, "no ideas orgonal" right?

And that's no slight to Big to say he NEEDED to lift something from Pac...shyt since we talking about Jay, he coulda went his whole career without sharking shyt from within his camp, he's perfectly capable, yet and still...lol

We can agree to disagree, I'm good with that.

But the reason I brought up where to draw the line is because everybody has to make that decision themselves. Whenever it's blurry or arbitriary, you gotta decide based on how you feel and how shyt add up.

I don't think it's unreasonable for an artist, especially an MC to look at that whole scenario with more of a critical eye than fans would, that's all.

I ain't mad at cha.

sorry but I don’t believe that narrative

I don’t believe that Biggie stole anything from PAC

influenced by Pac? Yes, just like he was influenced by a lot of other artists and things

But to say he was stealing concepts from PAC is wrong in my opinion

pac won’t the first rapper to speak on some of the topics he was rapping about

there was Scarface who spoke vividly on some of the topics Biggie covered on his first album

on Pacs first couple of albums even he was heavily influenced by Public enemy and Ice Cube, X Clan, and Ice T but it wasn’t like he stole from them, now wasn’t?

Every artist is influenced by other artists
Unless you can find me evidence of Biggie being heavily inspired by Scarface then by default he was biting Pac, the nikka he was HANGING AROUND WITH before he blew up.
Pac being inspired by Scarface isn't something new, Pac always gave shoutouts and respect to the people who influenced him, whether that be krs one, chuck d, ice cube ,etc
