I'm tired of telling these hip hop neophytes that rap style originated from Scarface and not Ballerina P. But its like like tryna give knowledge to a rock. nikka Biggie references the Geto Boys and Rap A Lot on albums but some how these retarded stans expect us to believe that Biggie got it from Ballerina P when Scarface invented that style, made it popular and his song is actually sampled on the Biggie album.

Double entendre don’t even ask me how :mjlol:

Ready to Die sounds more like MATW than any Geto Boys album though. He even used Easy Mo Bee like Pac was at the time. Big had no rap identity for real until he met Pac then he started dressing fly and rapping about wanting to die

HAHAHAHAHAHA No it doesn’t, It sounds like Hardcore/Mafioso NY Rap mixed with Dr Dre/ Snoop and Scarface depressed Gangsta raps. U think it sounds like PAC inferior effort cause Big and PAC was influenced and taking styles from the same nikkas who were more popular that both of ‘em in the early 90s.

Pac was cloning Face too on MATW.

This is basically a Scarface inspired song. Anybody who can’t see that don’t know shyt about Hip Hop.

Biggie and Pac were friends and as friends you share interests and styles so it's natural that some of you and your friends' styles are similar or certain characteristics and styles you share.

But to act like Biggie stole from Pac is bullshyt.

Nah it's not bullshyt and now you got it from a neutral party who saw the shyt go down in real time confirm what Pac said himself. That Biggie wasn't just some nikka hanging around. He was essentially gonna be part of the group and had enough access to Pac's upcoming music to pick and choose what to shark from once he got a solo deal and he did just that, to the poin Pac had to change the album he was currently working on.

Biggie didn't need to bite anything from Pac and vice versa. Totally different sounds.

Biggie had massive talent, but not a solid 'style' or persona before Puffy concocted one.

Breakdown how every day struggle sound like Pac

That's obvious but it seems like we having a sementacial argument or something. The hook, cadence and general theme of the album it's on sounds like some shyt Pac already had in the can. It's not to say that Pac had exclusive rights to make such a song, but put it into proper context.

Like I said, context.

Being influenced and biting are two different things. Biggie's role in Pac's circle could not be applied to Pac/Scarface. He wasn't up under him, opening for him, a part of his group, having access to his unreleased material ect.

sorry but I don’t believe that narrative

I don’t believe that Biggie stole anything from PAC

influenced by Pac? Yes, just like he was influenced by a lot of other artists and things

But to say he was stealing concepts from PAC is wrong in my opinion

pac won’t the first rapper to speak on some of the topics he was rapping about

there was Scarface who spoke vividly on some of the topics Biggie covered on his first album

on Pacs first couple of albums even he was heavily influenced by Public enemy and Ice Cube, X Clan, and Ice T but it wasn’t like he stole from them, now wasn’t?

Every artist is influenced by other artists

Roovers that is true …. But what majesty is saying does hold some truth …. pac was the one who always had a death theme etc in his music and biggie did kinda start running with that to a degree like certain songs and even. His album titles …… I don’t think he bite pacs style cause they totally different rappers but on the note of what majesty brought up he does have a point….

I don't see the issue, because Big admitted he schooled him. Pac had more experience and advised him. If you look at the content and the way of rapping, they were completely different. I do see the Chronic all over the album. And what people fail to mention is Easy Mo Bee producing for both.

That's all good.

People who had MUCH less reason to believe Biggie was a biter made it known how they felt about it.
