LL winning this battle is one of the greatest lies in hip hop history.

LL technically won the war. But it wasn’t on wax…he did it by getting Canibus essentially black balled from the industry by telling people not to fukk with him.
Nah Canibus dropped that wack ass debut album which killed his buzz.

I am comfortable and I love you
I didn't listen to Can-I-Bus til the mid 2000's cause i always heard it was trash, but once I did peep it I thought it was pretty good. Still bump it to this day.

Wish this would've been released, much better without the yelling hook:wow:

This was one of Hoffa's best interviews in a LONG time. Canibus has a unique and broad story that hadn't been told much. His time in the millitary was really intruiging and he clearly enjoyed the experience.

Hoffa should focus on these types of conversations more. the slept on storytellers.

I respect LL.

But my question is why did Cannibus shirk down and lose confidence after this?
What events happened after?

I think he talked to LL on the phone after and ppl dissed Cannibus.

But revisiting this song, it's a rap classic.

Cannibus fended for himself.

It's like the song was too powerful for him as well.

I remember he went to the army and was drinking alcohol which looked bad.

If he stayed dropping albums he would have saved himself.
