Going to pose a question here but shouldn’t incompetent leaders or corrupt leaders be told they’re incompetent and corrupt? Shouldn’t their flaws be laid bare? And it’s always been the job of a town crier (comedian analog) to do those things and be real.

One I don’t believe all political people are evil so well have to disagree there. I don’t have the same view of politics as you do. That’s cool.
But what I will vehemently disagree with you on is a celebrity being different because they’re a celebrity. You’re a citizen first. And whether it’s jim, John legend, Ava DuVernay, or anyone else, they have the same right to criticize elected officials as you and I do. And they have a bigger platform to say their beliefs; that’s the only difference. In hopes of truly affecting people and changing minds. That power can be used for good or evil but as far as I see it, Jim is using it for good. He’s using his art to express his frustrations.

Celebs are celebs my man they don’t care about you
I didn’t say they did care about me. I’m saying they’re people first and foremost. And a person has the right to say how they feel and make an impact in whatever way. Just like me and you. So while celebs may not care for me individually, there’s a good chance they have loved ones in their lives. Significant other, kids, nieces, nephews etc. so often they’re trying to affect their lives.
When John legend comes out to shyt on trump, pretty sure his first thought are his children and the world they’ll grow up in. Not me lol. And that’s cool
