You're the dumbass, you were the one who said that no one had LeBron over Kobe, and I showed you that's clearly wrong based on MVP voting. And btw, MVP voting is done by the media. So spare me the anecdotal bullshyt, plenty of people had LeBron over Kobe. And me living in europe doesn't matter since internet exist, but whatever. Also, you're backtracking now saying that he was "widely regarded", compared to "everyone had Kobe higher".

Anyway, I really don't care whether Kobe was widely regarded the best or not. That doesn't influence my analysis of the two. It's all narrative driven, Kobe has been widely regarded the best for plenty of years but he hasn't even been the best player in the league at a point of his career!

MVP VOTING IS BASED ON HOW HIGH YOUR TEAM IS RANKED, AS WELL AS HOW GOOD U ARE......FALL BACK SON

Again, I don't put ANY stock, at all into the MVP voting. I simply pointed out how wrong he was for saying that "everyone had Kobe higher than LeBron". MVP voting clearly shows that thats not the case.

NUMBERS ARE FOR NERDS WHO DONT KNOW WHAT THEYRE SEEING WHEN THEY WATCH BASKETBALL

Nah, there are nothing wrong with numbers. Aslong as they're not being used in a vacuum. We know what happened in 07, LeBron took that awful CLE team to the finals. It's not like the eye-test is saying something completely different. LeBron was always a beast on the court.

Harden, Steph, CP3. Any order is fine with me. The difference is marginal.
but according to the stats you were using in your argument, that would be Anthony Davis :francis: Yet here you are saying Harden, Steph and Cp3....

And if difference is marginal, dont see you can omit Lebron. :skip:

On some trunks /goten wish

Imagine if NBA players could fuse together no homo

Shaq was the best in 2000, AI in 2001 with Kobe right behind him, by 02 is was Kobe's reign until like 2010/11ish. AI's MVP season, the nikka dropped an album talkin so much street shyt he had C.Delores Tucker on his back like he was Pac, stole a game from one of the greatest teams GOAT franchise ever had, sometimes I wonder what it woulda been like if AI and Kobe was combined to make one player, nikkaz woulda prolly fukked with Allen Bryant harder than they fukked with Jordan.

Alrighty then. Don't go try rewriting history now.

In 06 Kobe finished with more first place votes than Lebron, but fell to 4, because several media members didn't even have him in their top 5! How ridiculous is that? Some people in the media hated Kobe in the mid 2000's.

All I know is that Prime Kobe >>>Prime Lebron. Bron won 2 out of 4 chips with a stacked all star laden miami team.Prime Kobe would of went 4 for 4 with that same team. Kobe won 2 chips with the likes of Sasha Vujacic, Luke Walton, Shannon Brown and DJ Mbenga

Ok, cool. I still don't care about other peoples opinions when evaluating players. So instead, argue my actual points, which is the statistical evidence that LeBron was better....

Anthony Davis is up there, too. But it's not true that he's better according to the stats I was using. For example, Harden has him beat in BPM, VORP, RPM. That's significant. So did Curry too. Davis impact is a little overstated because of his crazy box-score numbers, so he'll obviously do great in any box-score based stats. His defense is also overrated because of his blocks / steals and those numbers inflates stuff like PER.

I also don't omit Lebron, he's 4th after those three IMO. But he's had a down year across the board. He's not as good defensively and has ben subpar (to his standards of course) offensively this year. He'll probably bounce back next year and be the best player in the league, but he hasn't been THAT great this year. His numbers are down across the board and that passes the eye-test too.

NO ONE THOUGHT THAT STEVE NASH OR LEBRON JAMES WERE BETTER AS INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS...THEY JUST RECOGNIZED THEM AS HAVIN THE BETTER TEAMS.

NUMBERS ALSO SHOW DEANDRE JORDAN TO BE AN AVERAGE-AT-BEST DEFENDER...AND THE CLIPPERS DEFENSIVE NUMBERS GO UP WHEN DEANDRE IS ON THE BENCH. BOTTOM LINE, PEOPLE WHO ARE ACTUALLY A PART OF THE GAME USE THEIR EYES TO JUDGE...AINT NOTHIN WRONG WIT NUMBERS TO ADD ON TOP OF WHAT WE SEE, BUT ANYONE WHO USES NUMBERS TO GAUGE VALUE SIMPLY HASNT PLAYED ORGANIZED BASKETBALL IN THEIR LIFE, BECAUSE THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS.

ANYONE WHO THINKS LEBRON WAS ON KOBE'S LEVEL IN 2007 DOESNT UNDERSTAND THE GAME OR SIMPLY WASNT WATCHING....LEBRON PLAYED IN THE EAST, WHERE HE HAD A CAKEWALK TO THE FINALS. THEN GOT DESTROYED BY A WESTERN CONFERENCE TEAM IN THE SPURS. NOT FAIR TO KOBE TO USE THAT AS A MEASURING STICK, AS KOBE HAS HAD TO PLAY IN THE WEST HIS ENTIRE CAREER.
