I tell young buls to follow God and not girls. BLM make them feel like for all the talent, ingenuity, and appeal young black men have, we not suppose to struggle or fight against the enemy.

So instead we direct that towards ourselves, meaning other black men. Especially toward respectable ones. Because a truly respectable black man is not respected by these pervasive savages, which is confusing for young men.

I coached a basketball team. I came late to practice one day. Seen them playing some disorganized ball. Brehs. I laid into them. I was more angry then they’d ever seen me.

One of the pretty boys dead started crying. They 13 years old, so I’m not clowning them. But in his sadness, he started acting like he don’t need to listen to me. I wanted to kick him out of practice, but there’s always a woman he can run to and vilify me.

You really can’t do that to the men in any other community. Run to a woman cus a man laid into a child out of love. Even at that age, young men know women would look at them as weak for runnin to mommy over not being coddled.

But women is another issue. Black men are the most talented, but many of us somehow believe that because we extra talented, we shouldn’t struggle.

Honestly this is the greatest tragedy for us.

We talk alot about injustice but the closest I have ever came to serious physical harm is at the hands of my own people.

I have most often been on alert for my own people. Times when my antenna was up and my head was on swivel. About a 10 to 1 ratio between thinking Black citizens might be about to come at me vs. cops or other racists.

We seem to just accept this cold war between all Black people. The possibility of it being on. The willingness to fight back, or even strike first.

There's a hostility baked in to our interactions. Especially between strangers. The whole "what you doing over here? Where you from?" that precedes the stereotypical gang violence in movies and on TV.

:francis:

Brothers get on here saying this shyt is just entertainment, can't even lift weights without being fueled by lyrics of Black men getting shot up or plotted on.

Lil Durk is a demon, look at his eyes. Nothing but death surrounds him and it doesn’t seem to phase him. He’s not even a good rapper and his label gave him 40m’s to keep perpetuating this sh*t. It’s a drop in the bucket for all of the black lives lost and the industry it creates for the prison industrial complex.

Education, always been the solution people just like to talk and play dumb and cause confusion
For the 35 years I’ve been alive it has never been “cool” to us to go to school, pay attention, and learn. nikkas will not sit down and learn to save their lives; literally. The education is there and obtainable if people want it

Sad.

What is the solution?

I’m not seeing one that’s very clear.
The system has failed us and intentionally killed us. We are held in captivity, complacent and complicit just enough to not take that ultimate risk. No different than enslaved people on a plantation.

Eventually we will be pushed to the brink, but by that time it might be too late for us.

Liberal nonsensical babble that's not gonna fix the problem...the Klan at the height of its power didnt kill 21000 black men in 2 years but you got it
I'm not a Liberal so that criticism fails.

The Klan didn't have access to 3-D Printers and Amazon Prime at the height of it's power, so that criticism also fails.

More guns DEFINITELY won't fix the problem.

The leading cause of death of Black males between the ages of 1-44 is homicide and the most popular form of music often centers around the death of Black men, celebrating and promoting those deaths.

:francis:
This. No matter how much we can attribute it to structural and socioeconomic factors (which are ALL legit) the facts stand we have a culture that promotes our own self destruction.

Sometimes I feel like we have become too corrupted as a people to ever liberate ourselves.

But it's just entertainment :troll:.

Says the same people who talk about baby making music, playlist for work out , when they are feeling depressed or down and out.

Damn this song really helped me when my girl left

there are literally sites liek yourbrainonporn which shows the detrimental aspects of porn on the human mind. But if you dare speak about rap you have kewns coming in and defending it like thier life depended on it
