Those seem to be the types of things that the brothers you're arguing against are saying.Avoid the pitfalls, do what you can to uplift those around you

I'm open to having a discussion about it.We ever gonna discuss this or just forever speak out only when it's a cop shooting. 21,000 is obscene. The unemployment levels among black men, at a time when jobs are virtually everywhere, is also obscene. The amount of black men simply disappearing from the work force due to incarceration/death/not looking for jobs is obscene. We're witnessing a near complete failure and no one has anything to say, there is no urgency, all we're doing is speeding up the timeline with more death and senseless violence.
The dudes you co-signing want to give up on the community, they are not talking about uplifting one another they only care about talking about how people ain’t shytThose seem to be the types of things that the brothers you're arguing against are saying.

+1 to ignore list
This is by far the biggest issue facing black communities.Honestly, these are all much more pressing than death by cop, imo.
I agree with all this except you mentioning jobs being virtually everywhere. What specific jobs that are good paying full time jobs with benefits are you seeing? In my area it is mostly part time jobs that don't really pay much. @Piff PerkinsWe ever gonna discuss this or just forever speak out only when it's a cop shooting. 21,000 is obscene. I'm just referring to the flurry of openings. Many are lower wage but in the midwest and especially the south, where the unemployment rates are higher for black men, those are still jobs that can pay the rent due to lower cost of living compared to the west or east coast.I agree with all this except you mentioning jobs being virtually everywhere. Black boomers already had the family stuff figured out. Gen X parents on the other hand…
This is by far the biggest issue facing black communities.
Culture is shaped by environment and takes generations to transform. It would have to be a multi-generational project but we have to start somewhere. First thing we need to do is reject all the negativity and toxicity in our culture. And that has to be done via young people. Old people cannot make this happen. We can follow their lead but thats it. Almost every significant movement we've had involved the engagement of young people. Whether it was from the Black Panther Party, NOI or even the Civil Rights movement. How do you go about changing a culture and how long does it take
Nah. Tens of thousands of black men dying in the last 50 years to homicide.Death by cop?
