20th Century Fox quitely finally reveals Fantastic 4 Reboot movie cast

My issue isn't even with Jordan as much as it is with Miles Teller and Jamie Bell. While having a black Johnny but a white Sue makes no sense whatsoever and feels like stunt casting, at least those two can fit the roles. Miles Teller however is a short, flabby nerd and Jamie Bell a lean, slim Brit. How these two are supposed to convincingly play a brilliant super genius and a big old school New York street brawler is beyond me. Now that I think about it, with the added rumors of a female Dr Doom, this whole movie is starting to feel like random casting for the sake of random casting.

They're being inspired by Ultimate FF, so Reed is only 21 in that and obviously it's a different interpretation. Jamie can put on weight, that's nothing.

As far as Michael B Jordan and Kate being related, that can easily be explained of them either being adopted brother and sister OR step brother and step sister. I don't think its stunt casting as much as its Josh Trank likes working with Jordan, likes him as an actor and feels like he can play the part and wanted him to do it

Now you may disagree with that, but the point remains that the guy has only one movie out and not one I can look at and say that the director is mad talented.

I like Chronicle but I can't disagree with you on asking why they hold him in such high regard for a guy who's only made one movie. Guess we'll find out. And I think Miles Teller is a really solid actor, seeing him in stuff like the spectacular now and whiplash, he's not just the "funny guy" and I think he can pull it off. But I'm more of a "wait and see" guy when it comes to these flicks now because I've noticed two cases in particular where the internet was up in arms about casting and throwing so many rocks before seeing the movies and then when they came out, everyone was impressed, or mostly everyone: Casino Royale and The Dark Knight. Cats were aggy about Craig being Bond and more aggy about Ledger being Joker. I feel like at this point, being even keel is always the best option but that's me. But again, you're right, he's been handed a lot for a guy with just one flick under his belt

Teller plays Peter in the upcoming tentpole “Divergent” and has a deal to reprise his role in the sequel “Insurgent,” which is expected to start production in Louisiana at the same time as “Fantastic Four.” If his shooting dates can’t be worked out with “Insurgent” studio Lionsgate/Summit, the role of Mr. Fantastic may have to be recast.

Maybe they can get Robb Stark for the role instead since I heard he was one of the finalists for Reed.

That shyt amazes me. They want to compare Johnny to characters who fundamentally HAVE to be black. Johnny doesn't have to be black, he's a cocky, arrogant, hothead who has a good heart but hides it. I didn't know white people had the market cornered on that type of personality

A young Fantastic Four with a black Johny Storm? Not interested and I like Michael B. Jordan. Seeing Fox try to build a poor man's Marvel Cinematic Universe with the retro X-Men ain't appealing in the least either

Fox is always changing things just to change them. They don't change things to improve the story, they change shyt because they can. Just like the X-Men franchise, I expect things to be completely butchered in typical Fox fashion. I really hope that rumor about Doom being a female is true now just to see the rage.
