The symbolism is Vance is Trumps successor now so he will always have that base when you factor in there is no alternative. Trump is the slight of hand.

The only threat is Dems producing some Bill Clinton type figure
Listen, obviously I’m bad at conjecture or else I’d have totally seen this coming, but Trump is their Obama imo. He’s a singular force. Something about that dude moves people in this dumb ass country. People literally voted for Trump while voting down ballot for dems in some places. The second he’s removed from the equation, the republicans are going to have to reckon with the state of the country he’s leaving. If he enacts his objectively terrible policies and the country does go to shyt, what can Vance run on? Unless Trump sends checks again, they don’t have a way to continue to galvanize their base in 2028. (This is all assuming the very real reality that he doesn’t repeal the 22nd amendment of course).

It’s fukked up, but if I’m the Dems, I’m not resisting shyt. All I’d do is prop someone up who can effectively put Trump’s stamp on the next 4 years. This is Trumps economy. Trumps healthcare. Trumps education system. And not in that condescending, dunk on you way either. And then actually run a candidate who isn’t talking out of two sides of their mouth.

logged into facebook for 2 mins & everybody acting like it’s the end of the world :why: mfs so pathetic..there’s not a politician on this planet that can save you..victim mentality is real af
lmao what a weird post. You think MAGA voted for Trump because he’s orange? No, they voted for him because they think he can save them in various ways. People have to believe they’re being represented. That’s how it works.

I saw people here talking about Republicans turning on Trump in record numbers:mjlol:

Parading Liz Cheney sure helped secure those "never Trump" republican votes.. Genius move

National:

White folks mainly. That's how outnumbered everyone else is here. Do the math. They're 73% of the voter count. They basically only needed the majority in one group of people to win. The votes from other groups helped them of course, but when white folks move in a direction due to their numbers here it just matters too much.

Everyone else total: 37%
Half of the White vote 36%

So even if 99% of all minorities voted one way, it's still basically up to how the white majority votes.

For Trump:
White Men 57%
White Women 51%

That means everyone else's vote was obsolete this election. With the electoral college, that makes it amplified.

So if you want someone to blame for this country to go to shyt, there's no hiding who to blame anymore. They're running it. Don't let them blame anyone else. They've won every election they've had the majority in. They're driving, you can't blame your wreck on the passenger looking out the window.

Democrats only shot at winning was having a white man as the candidate. Period. You would think they learned this lesson after 2016 happened
