Thing is, nobody actually wanted to be in her place.
Most dems anywhere close to the presidency had very little desire to pick up biden pieces a couple months out from election.
Any/all of those guys are now in a better reposition to win 2028 than they ever where 2024.
And i’m sure they made that calculation in their own heads.
Hindsight is 20/20 but dems shoulda rolled with the old guy till the wheels fell off

Biden was toast 2 years ago. When Republicans AND Democrats pointed out Biden looked unwell, they were told to shutup with their MAGA talking points. Legacy media refused to report on it and helped to hide his condition even as those voices grew louder.
2024 comes, he gets embarrassed in the debate, and the senior party leaders try a last-minute hail mary that ends terribly. If they were just honest with themselves and their voters they could have prepared a candidate with a 2-year runway to defeat Trump. This is on them as much as it is on Biden or Harris.

He can't be replicated or duplicated we just have to do 2028 when he's out of the paint and they don't have as much turnout because he's gone. And hopefully, he's not around to stump for the new candidate.
