It’s a slippery slope. If Trump is granted to act inhumanely and start stripping people of their citizenship then what’s going to stop him from stripping people he doesn’t like of their citizenship?

You’re a suspected liberal/democrat and get a speeding ticket? You’re getting deported to El Salvador.

HL, help me out. My parents immigrated here legally and earned their citizenship back in 1996. Problem is, they live in FL and I am warning them to leave there and be with me in NY to be (rather temporarily) safe under this new regime of fascism.

Do they still have a chance of being deported?

I don't think anyone knows until the legislation is actually proposed unfortunately. For sure better off in a blue state, but in the immediate I don’t think there’s any risk of them staying where they are.

There will be legal battles and push back, but everyone will need to read whatever is brought to the table thoroughly and stay vigilant.

And the other thing that the Democratic Party has to do is the following

Ditch terms like Latinx, he/she/they

Stop the political correctness

Stop having boys in girls sports

If someone wants to eat, drink and be a awful human being, let them and don't criticize and be all whiny about their lack of manners.

Put folks like Conor Lamb and Andy of Kentucky in more visible roles

Stop having your leaders from California or New York.

Ditch trying to do gun control and just focus on keeping them out of the hands of criminals, underage kids and illegals.

Be more proactive with hunters, outdoors folks and recreational outdoor items. Democratic politicians and supporters come off as too bougie to want to do activities like that because they somehow don't eat meat don't want to be seen shooting animals or just seem very whiny about basic activities of day-to-day life. Show you have folks who like boxing, karate etc to showcase some masculinity.

All of these items can be totally wrong from me but at the end of the day people think Democrats criticize you if you drink beer, watch football and want to have unprotected sex. Time for them to wake up and smell the coffee.

I'm a naturalized citizen as well. Currently, you would have to do something extreme to get your citizenship revoked. Like epsionage or some something. Emphasis on currently.

And another one thing that Democrats need to do is they need to focus more on podcasts and getting personal interactions with people on shows and get away from MSNBC CNN The View and other regular talk shows.

It's starting to come across as them being just affiliated with a bunch of whiny women all day

People keep saying this but it's not that simple, especially in this era of most social media sites becoming right-wing echo chambers.

Kamala did podcast interviews with Call Her Daddy and Club Shay Shay, and they both got dislike bombed to hell.

It's hard to say how far reaching Trump's mass deportation will be. But I think under this new regime places like Florida will be a much more hostile place for immigrants overall. I would try getting them to a blue state if possible. If Trump's plans are as damaging as I think they'll be, communities across the country will be torn apart. It's not hard to see Democratic governors going against the feds to round people up.
