We need a real conman to beat a fake conman, is how I read this...

For that's all populism is IMO.
People who champion populist candidates, I take it don’t know their history. Look at the well liked populist candidates throughout history: Andrew Jackson, Trump, Palin (them Tea Party bytches), George fckin Wallace, Huey Long. So Dems need to get someone from that lineage to win…smh

Here’s where the logic falls short. If Bernie was popular enough to win, he would have beat Biden despite Obama putting “his thumb on the scale.” Politics is a dirty game and the only rule is to not rig the votes. If the people wanted a populist above all else then Bernie should have beat Biden regardless of the endorsements.
Sure. But I think it's important to add context to what happened to Bernie. The L is the L. But the Dem establishment did collude to ensure he took the L. Not to mention whatever stupid shyt Warren was doing at the time.

Him picking her as VP was meant to shore up the left, women, and black people in one swoop
It was meant to shore up the black women vote which, at the time and now, is the only one of those constituencies the Dems really care about.

If I recall correctly Klobuchar was looking like the pick. Then Biden went on Breakfadr Club and said if you don't vote for him "you ain't black jack" or whatever stupid shyt he said. The loudest female voices in black twitter smelled blood and parlayed the gaffe into "he better pick a black woman as VP."

Bernie is a loser. If you have to make excuses as to why you lost in politics then you didn’t deserve the win in the first place.

Do you think the Republicans would have played by the “rules” when running against Bernie? No, he probably would have lost then had a whole other list of excuses.

We need politicians that win regardless of the odds stacked against them. Say what you want about the orange fukk but he’s a fighter and overcomes the odds.

It’s impossible to win when the leader of the party, the entire apparatus of the party and their propaganda outlets align against.

Hell, as talented as Obama is, had the liberal media outlets decided to align against him, his candidacy would have ended in Iowa.

I’m hearing conflicting narratives here. On one hand Bernie lost because the liberal media machine was against him and on the other Trump won because the liberal media machine was against him.

If populism is the answer then Bernie should have won regardless right? Or does populism not work for the democrats in the primary?

We need someone like The Rock run on popular common sense policies

Mock if you will, but the people have spoken loud and clear.

10 million Biden supporters decided to stay home rather than continue the status quo. (Whether they are being fair and rational or not is another subject all together)

What we need is a sincere benevolent populist who understands the mob.

Rome is the mob. It is not the marvel of the Senate, it is the roar of the coliseum.

The liberal media’s hatred of Trump was his ace in the hole. It was one more institution he could demonize to push his fake populism.

I’m not mocking I’m being serious. If The Rock ran on something similar to Bernie’s platform he would landslide Trump and or any Republican that runs in 2028.

The Rock would be the perfect avatar for a resurgent democrat party in 2028.

Liberal Masculine outsider who would make populist leftist policies seem common sense centrist

I'm confused.

Are talking about the centrists or the "Bernie woulda won :mjcry:" contingent? Cause this criticism applies to both.
If this criricism applies to both then its applied to both. However theres a big difference in saying Bernie wouldve won, Dems need to stop running centrists that dont stand for much beyond what consultants tell them to stand for vs Bernie wouldve won, Dems need to run Bernie (or a white man just like Bernie) or they're fukked
