She's a great speaker, but that wasn't going to close the gap of disaffected voters. Harris is no Obama but she gave good speeches. She's also sometimes more plain spoken than Harris, but it's what you are saying and who you are speaking to. Michell Obama isn't going to reach more male voters than Harris.
