It's partly why I've completely tuned out most of the post-election coverage. A lot of the finger pointing is being done by people who are a part of the problem.

The small (really tiny) comfort I can take from outcomes like this is it makes me think this is less about the electorate shifting right and more about people just ultimately being pissed off with the incumbent and doing what people tend to do (vote for the other party or stay home)

But like I said, small comfort because it's about to be a "hard head makes for a soft ass" type of reckoning for all of us.
