This is spin in my opinion. If republicans wanted to get rid of Robinson they would have dumped on him during the primary or shortly after it. Honestly I don't think CNN planned on releasing that yesterday, or perhaps even this week. It seems like them reaching out for responses from Robinson's camp resulted in word being leaked, and CNN responded by rushing out the story. I'd imagine it was planned for next week or something.
