Recent cases of teams trading/releasing big name WRs and instead going with a rookie

1- Bmore traded Marquis brown for the #23 pick ( :mjlol:) …Ravens take Lindbaum who was just a pro bowler, draft Zay flowers the next year. Brown doesn’t re-sign with Arizona

2- Vikings trade stefon Diggs for pick #22. Vikings draft Justin Jefferson

3- Vikings release Thielen. Draft Jordan Addison

4- Chiefs trade Tyreek for pick #22. Chiefs use the pick to get Trent mcduffie. Mcduffie all pro and chiefs win 2 chips

5- Giants trade Darren Waller to NY for a 3rd. Waller proceeds to fall off a cliff and is currently considering retirement. Separately LV drafts Michael Mayer

6- Packers trade Davante for a 1st and a 2nd. Packers draft Quay Walker and Christian Watson. Have also drafted 3 other starting caliber WRs possibly the best young WR corps in the league

How many Super Bowls has that resulted in for teams that don't have Mahomes and Andy Reid though?

You want to keep your good, reliable WR's around more times than not. A lot of Super Bowl-winning teams have QB/WR1/2 combinations who are familiar with each other and/or just outright stacked teams.

this is a cap move for the Chargers, its not a strategic decision to go a different direction at WR or somethign that netted them a high end pick to replace him with. Keenan didnt want to restructure his deal. They could have got Nabers/Odunze and paired that rook with Keenan to go with their in his prime franchise QB - their cap was just fukked and Keenan understanbly didnt want to take a pay cut. They simply couldnt afford him

They coulda kept him if they wanted to. They didn’t want to. They chose Bosa and Mack. Wisely so

With an almost full season of Keenan as a #1 they had the 20th ranked offense :francis:

MHJ is trending right now bc fans really think the bears gon keep Fields and run with DJ, Keenan, and Marv as #1 pick :bryan:

I feel for Caleb Williams bc he’s nearing a Lebron level of delusional fan hate

Last post, I'll leave this here:
Receiver A: 108 receptions, 1,243 yards, 7 TDs
Receiver B: 91 receptions, 1,078 yards, 4 TDs

Receiver A is Keenan Allen in 2023.

Receiver B is the rest of the Chargers' current WRs (Palmer, Johnston, and Davis) COMBINED in 2023.

I watched the games. Keenan did all that while seeing a lot of double coverage.

Keep in mind they basically shut Keenan and Herbert down the last four games as the team went into tank mode.

I suggest you go watch some Malik Nabers tape
I've watched plenty. Dude looks as good as many other stellar WR's prospects I've seen.

Out of all positions, WR's have the highest bust rate out taken in the top 10.

It's highly unlikely Harrison, Nabers and Odunze are all going to be who many think they are. 1 or 2 of them are statistically going to be a bust.
