Only thing I can say is Josh should have maybe anticipated the blitz from mcduffie considering that is one of spags/mcduffie's specialties considering the situation.

He could have told the receiver to line up closer to the boundary as well to buy him some time if he still came on the blitz too.

So Allen didn't have a hot read? He even said in his presser he didn't think a blitz was coming but knew they were gonna slide. He went where they were sliding

I mean, yeah, Shakir was about as close to the hot read as it was going to get. But creh in the tweet was saying that be needed to simply move his hips and make the throw, when said throw would've been against his momentum, across his body after doing a 180, to the far side of the field, while likely getting smacked by the two defenders that came across unblocked.

There's plenty to criticize about that play, but that specific aspect isn't one of them. Shakir wasn't an option the moment Allen decided to move to his right.

I was listening to (unfortunately) an ESPN radio show Nate Tice was on and he was saying the read should have been Shakir (the easier throw)or even Cooper on the crossing route (a slightly difficult throw but he could've thrown it to space and Samuel ran to it) but thinks Allen already had it made up in his mind he was throwing to Kincaid.

Edit: also, and I feel bad for saying this but, #43 Bernard & Hamlin were HORRIBLE in coverage in this game

He's not that cerebral.

Spags had been showing that look all game but they never blitzed out of it. Josh played it like they were going to drop into coverage again.

It's just like last year's playoffs when he took those deep shots to the end zone and missed wide open receivers underneath. In big moments he's not seeing the field.

One question that I'm wondering considering the whole Josh Allen 1st down controversy. Is a first down at the beginning of the 1st down marker or the end of the marker? As in does the tip of the ball have to pass the end of the marker for it to be called a 1st down?

I believe its like the plane of the endzone, where it just has to touch it.

I get what you're saying but he has a point. He's also been a QB in the NFL. It's easy to pause the film and show where he should have went with the ball but he had 2 defenders coming at him unblocked.

They were cookin' Solak all day & I actually like/watch breh's content. Not only did Fitztragic respond but Kurt Warner responded indirectly, and I think Ryan mf Leaf of all people quoted it and said people need to be sent to his house and rough him up to give him hands on experience of being blitzed :mjlol:

I will say, RG3 came out wit a point & of course nobody gonna say shyt to him (besides hurt Bills fans) since he played

My only problem with what RG3 is saying is that he's making blitz pickup sound easy as hell. Spags had been showing that same look all game and dropping defenders back or blitzing from the other side. This was the first time all game he dialed up that particular blitz. Even the greatest QBs get fooled by blitzes at times. It happens, and Josh made the best of it that he can.
