People have their reservations about KC Three-Peating this year. However, if you break down the potential opposition, the path is not as challenging as it may seem.

AFC (Biggest Threats):

Ravens
Steelers
Bills

At the most, they would play 2 of these teams. Also, KC is still #1 in the AFC and could remain that way come playoff time.

NFC (Biggest Threats):

Lions
Packers
Eagles
Vikings

They only have to play one of these teams if they make it to the SB. They're not going to play both the "red hot Lions" and the "red hot Eagles"

Also:

Houston has regressed
No Joe Burrow to worry about
No 49ers to worry about
:wow:

I can't stand when athletes start hating on guys who analyze the game but never played just because they thought of something that they didn't.
I get what you're saying but he has a point. He's also been a QB in the NFL. It's easy to pause the film and show where he should have went with the ball but he had 2 defenders coming at him unblocked.

I agree, but in this case, Fitzpatrick has a point. When he stopped the footage to make his point, Allen literally has his back to Shakir with two defenders closing in. This ain't Madden 04, breh. That pass doesn't get completed either, and he probably gets completely cooked trying to make it.

In fact, going back to film where the play worked because Allen wasn't facing the same type of pressure, and was actually in position to throw the ball to Shakir in space makes the point worse. :mjlol:

And I think it was Mitchell Shwartz that pointed out that Shakur's route was a man coverage beater but since the Chiefs were in zone he was no longer the first read. When getting a free man blitzing like that no time to progress through reads.

So Allen didn't have a hot read? He even said in his presser he didn't think a blitz was coming but knew they were gonna slide. He went where they were sliding
