I'd actually want to see this. Only real use I could see for Tama in the E and getting Finn in would be perfect timing to put a main title back on him.

The only place that will pay him like WWE would is AEW now that NJPW is in financial trouble. McIntyre would look like Andre The Giant on the AEW roster

I would assume unless AEW throws so much money he can't ignore it. I could kind of seeing Drew taking the free agent route for a year and just pick his spots to appear and get his buzz and then pop back up in the WWE end of 2024 or 2025. Cause he's the type if he's off the E for a year or so he will get a huge pop when he returns. Possibly recapture his covid 2020 hype.
