Zack Gibson and James Drake weren’t All Elite during their first AEW match, but that could possibly change.

The Grizzled Young Vets duo worked the April 27 episode of AEW Collision in a losing effort against the Acclaimed. The appearance prompted inquiries regarding their status with the company and contract status in general, but they’ve not appeared on AEW TV since.

We’re told that there have been ongoing AEW contract talks between the two sides, but that as of last week, it wasn’t a slam dunk that they’d end up there. All Elite Wrestling does maintain interest in the team.

They’ve also appeared numerous times for TNA Wrestling, but had been working there without contracts. They finished up in the company for the time being in March.

PollStar (the ones who reported the 7131 tickets sold) is the main trade publication that covers the concert and live event business and gets their information directly from the venues. So yeah it was a heavily papered show.
