:stopitslime: but we've somehow never acted on this revelation outside of the general election huh?
If you wanna be realistic it’s hard to get young people to care about voting outside of electing a president. This has always been the case

Overturning roe and trying to block student loan reform changed the math this cycle

Which is the point strategist should have learned from this election cycle, that single issue voters are synonymous with new voters - you don't reach new voters with typical party platform issues, you reach them with hot button issues they care about.

Strategist, pundits, and the like kept telling candidates and the world that the Dems spent too much time talking about abortion and democracy and not enough about the platform issues that established voters cared about. We "learned" how wrong they were in historical fashion.

Weren’t you criticizing democrats before the election that they weren’t delivering the right message to voters? You were wrong about that

And you’re wrong now, There’s a reason this midterm looks different than all other midterms historically. There’s really nothing to learn from this… You’re not going to have some issue to rally new voters every midterm.

The fact will always remain it’s much easier to campaign against the controlling party than it is to defend your record(no matter the record)

Yes I was and I wasn't wrong, they didn't start delivering the messaging about inflation being a global issue and the data showed corporate profits were up. The same thing a handful of people have been screaming for over a year that never got picked up by the party.

No you're wrong, per the usual, there is a tremendous amount to be learned here and you don't need an issue as major as the dobbs decision to succesfully target new voters every election cycle.

CCM and Kelly in AZ would give the Dems a 51-49 lead since Dems gain 1 with the PA seat… GA wouldn’t matter if Walker wins then it would be a 50/50 senate… Warnock win will be 52-48 thus making Manchin and Senima stupid asses irrelevant
I am still mad that Mandela didn't win, tho.

WI, PA, and MI now have dem governors who will be in place for the 2024 election. PA democrats took at least one of the state houses, and MI democrats took both the state senate and house. Beyond ensuring a presidential election will be run fairly this ensures election results will be certified...and more importantly ensures that mail voting measures will remain in place.

I think mail voting could secure democrats keep the WH in 2024. Until republicans embrace mail voting, as they have in Florida over the last few decades, they're going to keep facing situations where masses of democrat voters who may not have gone to the polls on election day will definitely vote via mail. It makes large cities extremely hard to beat. MI also passed a provision requiring 9 days of in-person early voting and anytime absentee mail voting. Barring economic collapse or Biden reaching a point where he is simply unelectable, it's hard to see how republicans overcome this.

Also republicans gotta get rid of Trump. DeSantis is from Florida and his team clearly understands the mail voting game. There needs to be a massive re-education of republicans on this. VS Fox News shytting on mail voting daily and Trump-like candidates claiming it's fraud.
