Draymond was really good defensively today. He was one of the few giving Nigerian players issues. They just kept attacking Durant, Beal, and especially Lillard off the dribble drive. The US refusal to use the zone was strange as well.

The US got a lot of talent and a lot more than most but that shyt don't fit. It's like everyone needs usage. That shyt just cogs up in this type of game with a smaller court and more physicality. The US should pick teams like soccer teams do but they pick them based on who's the best players available.

I always feel they put no real thought into their rosters. They just out talent teams massively but the rest of these countries got squads

I think all of these squads are good but the Redeem Team basically was playing when most countries was going through a dry spell outside of Spain which was in their prime. This is probably the best internationally it's been ever. Lithuania didn't make the Olympics and they got as much talent as they normally have. You got Big Val and a prime Sabonis is usually a medal team. This is the best Canadian squad ever and they didn't even make it. You had a Dominican team that made it to the final 16 in the World Cup, didn't make it. This ain't easy no more. Everyone got a squad.

Yeah at some point most of the top teams are gonna have a majority NBA starting 5 I think this Nigerian team got like 6+ NBA players (I think even 10 or more?)

It’s a mix of both. That was the last good balanced team and the world got better. This game better be a wake up to team USA.
