You men are making numerous dangerous short-sighted assumptions. Firstly, that America will always produce superstars, look at the Brazilian national football team for an example. Because of you X superstar with X skill level that in 15-20 years you should have similar skill level. This isn’t assured. You are assuming other nations won’t produce players at the same calibre and more of them as well. In 15-20 years from now, you will have 7-8 teams with 3-4 players of NBA calibre on their national team. So winning gold in years to come won’t be certain for America and the path to gold will be harder than ever.
