I just found out the USA was up 74-67 with 3:40 left and then went 0-9 with 7 fouls in the final 3:40, got outscored 16-2 to end the game.

Yeah Dame had a rough go of it towards the end.

I guess NBA players really don't watch International bball. Anyone who's saw Pau with Spain, Scola with Argentina or Patty Mills with Australia knows this. Seriously, are these players so out of touch

I have a theory I just came up with


The FIBA 3 point line in the NBA is the worst shot possible (long midrange 2). Everyone is discouraged from taking that shot in the NBA, and they probably practise it less than any other shot.

This is why the USA struggles to shoot the 3 from the shorter line in FIBA

3 players right there, either top 5 players, or next season will be top 5 players. The games evolved, and the Americans haven't got better... Relying on just sheer athleticism and chucking 3's aint gonna get it done anymore

Thats just 3 players and they all play for countries that dont have NBA talent other than themselves...its really that the world plays team ball at these tournaments and the USA plays 1 on 5...that doesnt work anymore....

I think Lamelo Ball in a way exposed the difference between international and NBA. In Australia he looked kind of suspect. Then he goes to the NBA with no summer league, limited training camp and he looking like Magic in '79.
