I disagree.

And it's less that they're punishing Dems for not removing the filibuster specifically. But I certainly bet that at least on some level, voters will punish Dems for preserving the filibuster over passing their own agenda.

For God's sakes, they won't even do a carveout for voting rights, when doing nothing about it screws them out of power, and Republicans wouldn't vote for even Manchin's watered down voting rights bill.

At some point, Democrats need to play to win, or they can just keep losing.

Well we actually know the answer. Endless subpoenas and hearings, the entire party would be on trial in the press, they’d publicly call them traitors and run ads until we were sick of hearing it. And the messaging would be enough to move the needle even if it was just a couple points.

Meanwhile the Dems are running an investigation with no teeth that’ll become even more ineffectual after they take midterms losses. They seem content to lose. Big Washington generals vibes.

The write in candidate was backed by both the GOP and Dem apparatuses monetarily. He was already defeated once by Walton, but once that heavy money started pouring in she was in trouble. It is what it is

I'd have no issue with it but the optics of your second black president+first female president getting thrown in the bushes during a competitive primary is wild.

they're not gonna primary her if she physically becomes president in like 2023

and lowkey, i think it might be the dems best chance/best case scenario riding the momentum of the first woman president into 2024 isnt the end of the world. especially if she can sign a few pro-woman EOs in 24 or something
