All I’ve ever heard is that it’s not as blue as it appears to be.Living in DC, I’ve been inundated with ads now for all of this year when I’m tuned into family feud lol. As an outsider, non VA resident, I’ll be tuned into results tonight, but either way, I don’t see how it shifts VA much, one of the things I like about VA is the relative balance between both parties, at an electoral and state govt level. Keeps the state from going off the deep end in either direction

my opinion of this statement would be that people are either referencing the big but lowly populated red areas in the interior or the way race quickly reveals the red in these faux white progressives - repealing affirmative action, upholding cash bail, some other propositions i can't remember. but yes, CA is a shythole on many dimensions from the high taxes that don't seem to result in tangible benefits and social services, to the wonky woke signaling laws we pass...only thing i think they got right was environmental protection lawsYou think California went off the deep end? I do agree with your prices argument though - it’s why I may move there at some point. Not VA though - more Maryland.
