Living in DC, I’ve been inundated with ads now for all of this year when I’m tuned into family feud lol. As an outsider, non VA resident, I’ll be tuned into results tonight, but either way, I don’t see how it shifts VA much, one of the things I like about VA is the relative balance between both parties, at an electoral and state govt level. Keeps the state from going off the deep end in either direction
You think California went off the deep end? All I’ve ever heard is that it’s not as blue as it appears to be.

I do agree with your prices argument though - it’s why I may move there at some point. Not VA though - more Maryland.

Some good news and bad news for Dems

If Youngkin wins, its gonna be cause of persuasion, @satam55

It will because Democrats aren’t delivering on promises.

I just voted for Mcautliffe.

I didn’t know Seers (potentially the first black Lt. Governor) was a Republican… fukk out of here with that token. :stopitslime:

I met Rachel Levy (House Delegate) on my way in. She asked me if I had any questions, I said I just need to know how to spell your name and hit her with the thumbs up.

my opinion of this statement would be that people are either referencing the big but lowly populated red areas in the interior or the way race quickly reveals the red in these faux white progressives - repealing affirmative action, upholding cash bail, some other propositions i can't remember. but yes, CA is a shythole on many dimensions from the high taxes that don't seem to result in tangible benefits and social services, to the wonky woke signaling laws we pass...only thing i think they got right was environmental protection laws
