Between McCann's lack of durability and now Nido/Mazeika the catchers for the foreseeable future, the Mets are going to be put in a position where they may have to swing for a catcher in a trade.

Lindor loves being the homerun hero, but he has to take the walk there. Swung at balls 4 and 5 just to avoid the walk, absolutely ridiculous at bat.
The day Nido goes to another team he'll be cut within a week cause they won't tolerate his bullshyt.
This kinda reminds me of the 90's when the Mets would go down to Turner field in June/July and give us nightmares for 3 straight days.

Alcantara was just pure filthiness... Imagine if Miami would have still had Jose Fernandez... Although odds are he probably wouldn't have gotten his paper in Miami.

Gotta give Walker his he went toe to toe with Alcantara and Verlander and he is like our 4th best SP.
Mets got a lot of these guys coming off the books this upcoming off season, a little early but who do we retain:
- Chris Bassit is a FA after this season
- Carlos Carrasco has a club option
- Jacob deGrom has an opt out
- Taiwan Walker has a player option

Miami is just a failed franchise. For a hot minute they had Reyes, Stanton, Anibal Sanchez, Zambrano, and Fernandez coming up, and a new ballpark. Yeah I know some of these guys were past their prime, but they had something to compete with.
They gave Reyes that contract like they were gonna build something and immediately aborted the project the next year
