Aight, here's my season recap now that this shyt is over....

I've been following this team since the early 90s, and this is going down as the most bizarre season I've ever seen. A team that won 100+ games with no killer instinct. Constantly winning 2/3, 3/4 but never putting the hammer down and going for sweeps. Its like if everything didn't go right from the first inning they completely folded. The best example was the 4 game series at home against the Rockies, won the first 3 and lost the final game 1-0 on a sac fly, a game Degrom started by the way. They only won 7 games in a row all season.

I've never seen a team bring in 3 players at the deadline and make the team worse. The Padres went for it at the deadline and got Soto for free basically, and they're stacked for the next few years. Meanwhile we held onto Brett Batty.

I've never seen a team refuse to fight back after going down. The 3 games in Atlanta they only scored 1 run after going down, that was Nido's home run in the 8th in the first game.

I've never seen a team look so lifeless against sub .500 teams in a division race. This is an 88 win team disguised as a 101 win team.

After last years embarrassment of letting the Braves win the division with 88 wins and collapsing, they follow it up with this garbage. Steve Cohen must be thinking, "damn, this is going to be much harder than I thought."

101 toothless wins, put it in the books.

I don't want this team to turn into the 00's Twins. Paper tigers.

Absolutely right being disguised as a 88 win team. Even before the playoffs I felt like they weren't as as good as 15 or 06 even though they had more wins. Only 1 or 2 bats at a time went well, 1 or 2 starting pitchers and 1 or 2 in bullpen can't win that way in playoffs no way no how.

now they'll get the belt from the fanbase

They sure as hell aren't going to get a cookie.

Geez I hope Buck doesn't have twitter

Gary showing he the best PBP guy in MLB by being objective :wow:

I disagree. That's his right as a manager if he has suspicion. He gets killed by the fanbase if he doesn't. But there also has to be a penalty for getting it wrong.

Saying this was a 88 win team is just being butt hurt. I'm sorry.

Anyways the only way to cope rn is think about the offseason. The problem with the lineup is we had a ton of table setters and not enough potential. It was living and dying with Pete and Lindor driving them in. Marte injury fukked us bad cuz aside from being a table setter, he actually provided some pop.

McCann gotta be shipped off.
DFA Ruf rn. He's not worth anything.
Alvarez and Baty are starters on opening day for me.

Resign Nimmo, Díaz, Lugo, deGrom. Bassitt I think we can do but I want somebody that can strike ppl out and dominate. Ottavino can have a spot but I need him to be more middle relief.

I aint watching shyt next year unless we spend about 700 million in contracts
the holes on the roster are glaringly obvious
Wake me up when we resign our guys plus Judge and figure out a trade for ohtani. I also want a catcher who can hit, DH, a couple of pitchers and an allstar at third.
