People calling this an overpay cuz of the quantity but really it's nothing.

Am I missing something here? The fukk kind of move was this? JD can spot start at first. Same type numbers as this dude. And this Ruf cat is 36 years old? :wtf:

Can somebody help me understand this move?

Mashes lefties. There's plenty of ppl the Mets could put to spot start at 1B. DH is probably gonna be a Vogelbach/Ruf platoon.

It seems like we gave up quite a bit for a guy of Ruf's body of work, no? Am I crazy here? JD's got talent.. he just needs consistent at bats. If he gets that in SF, dude's gonna flourish.

People are exaggerating due to the amount of prospects but really they are arms in the 20-30 range. JD is a DH that hasn't really hit with us so it is what it is. Wouldn't surprise me if it works out over there but :manny:. JD got enough consistent at bats with us but didn't show enough. It is what it is.

No JD sucks. If a pitcher can execute a high fastball for a strike he is an out. Wanted someone better but I will not miss JD Davis at all.

Makes lefties, makes for a good platoon with Vogelbach and JD Davis sucks and can't hit anyone anymore

I wonder if the Mets are working a three team deal cuz I'd have to think they want to keep certain lower prospects people have no problem dealing away. I don't see Ziegler or Allan getting moved cuz then we'd have like no real starting pitching prospects. Move some mid tier relief position player prospects instead.

I’m gonna take y’all word for it on Darin Ruf bc I don’t know a ton about him. Can anyone post his splits LHP vs RHP?

The move is ok I guess bc JD has regressed so much and I don’t know anything about the guys we gave up. If it helps our DH platoon then I’m with it :manny:
