So on that Nido check swing, the ump asked for help from the first base umpire.. and the 1B ump said no swing.. only for the home plate ump to be like 'quit lying bytch.. he swung' and he overruled the call on the field? Did I see that right?

Here in NC I'm stuck watching the MASN broadcast, and when Buck came out to check on Marte, the analyst was spitting straight stupidity, like "Here comes Buck trying to be angry, like he thinks everybody trying to hit his players... Marte didn't even try to move"... Thankfully the play by play dude had more sense, and said that since Cishek throws a lot of breaking stuff, Marte probably expected it to run away from him and not tail in, and that's why he didn't bail. GKR got me spoiled. I probably should just listen to the WCBS broadcast with Howie and Wayne

Looks like San Diego is gonna be the big winner in the Juan Soto lottery. Would have loved to end the deadline acquiring Soto and deGoat but at least Soto doesn't go to LA or nyy
