Follow me for a second.:lolbron:

Is there anything that suggests Obama Trump voters want to be won back.

I I feel like I remember a poll from 2018 where they wanted the House to go dem to hold Trump accountable, but they also wanted Trump to remain president.

:francis:
Yep it's their biggest fallacy, assuming those Obama Trump voters want to go back. Trump WILL hit Biden on his NAFTA vote, which is hugely unpopular in those Midwestern swing states. The better strategy is turning out those millennial/Gen Z voters which Bernie can do.

What I find ridiculous about a Biden nomination and folks like @Warren Moon @Atlrocafella refuse to see or acknowledge (kinda like Joe) is how bad his past votes and speeches on the Senate floor are in the general.

It's like the same Hillary Clinton playbook that Trump ran.

1. Rail against NAFTA and say its been re-negotiated now, I fixed Joe's mess
2. Attack Biden on Iraq :snoop:

Trump running to Biden's LEFT in a general election. Its fukking ridiculous!!!

The 'Bernie isn't a Democrat' narrative is dumb.
He's not. His supporters view it as a badge of honor. No need to be upset when someone points it out. Democrats have welcomed him in the party for 3 decades. The DNC allowed him to appoint people to their change coalition.

I'm not sure why a simple fact like pointing out he's not a Democrat triggers his supporters so much.

They’ve already proven they can get them back in 2018. :mjlol:

moderates led the dems taking back the house and flipped republican voters.

across the entire nation. All y’all have are theories. Moderates have a demonstrated winning strategy.

Dems were associated with a black man then. White voter enthusiasm decreased. :francis:

But that does seem like a dishonest take despite there being a lot of truth behind it.

Presidents generally lose seats during a midterm and moderates picked up considerably more seats than progressives during that period.

Despite having terrible takes, he does have a point herr and I haven't really seen a response from hardcore progressives as to why that happened.

You said a strategy from 2016 shouldn’t be followed, so I kept it at 2018.

you can pick any year you want tho. Progressives have never been the catalyst for dems gaining control again. Moderates do.

Progressives don’t beat republicans in districts that aren’t extremely blue.

it is a pie in the sky strategy that has never worked. The strategy is driven by how progressives feel.

only outlier was :obama:

I get the black man angle. But Obama won twice.

We have benefit of hindsight but if Obama governed better with his huge ass majorities and fought back against the Tea Party propaganda with his huge grassroots operation from 2008, Obama would not have lost 60 seats in 2010.

What I mean from governing better? Bailing out the homeowners, getting the public option in the ACA, going after the costs of healthcare, expanding Medicaid immediately, and at the beginning, having a bigger stimulus package which he wanted but his advisors were scared of deficits i.e. the Rubinites.

2014 was also terrible. Just terrible.

you dense mother fukker. EVEN REPUBLICANS LOST SEATS OVER THE ACA.

He had a supermajority for less than 2 years. (arguably less than 90 days) A fleeting, illusory supermajority

This is why I can't deal with you pie in the sky as bytch ass nikkas man... That shyt was HARD. AS. fukk. TO. GET. DONE.

And you sitting here acting like Obama "didn't do enough"

My nikka, YOU ain't do enough.

The hell????

If you all are so concerned about a Biden Nomination(like you all were with a Hillary nomination), just make sure your candidate beats him in the primaries. If your candidate can’t beat him in the primaries(like they couldn’t with Hillary), then it just lets me know that the majority of Dems don’t believe in your weak ass candidates chances of beating Trump :yeshrug:

Again, make sure your candidate gets first place :manny:
