Well based on this thinking you need to throw Warren in the trash as well. She worked with republicans on 40% of her proposed bills.

obviously she’s out of touch.

You also need to get rid of Bernie as well. :camby: He said he would work with some republicans as well.

Fake outrage.
Stop it. Are we going have a serious debate, or are you going to do a bad faith hacky Stan argument? Nobody have said we can’t work with Republicans if our agenda happens to cross paths. For example supporting a bill like auditing the fed which had support from Bernie and Rand Paul, or the bill to allow imported pharmaceutical from Canada is fine. That is completely different than having a political strategy of trying to reach out to moderate republicans and floating having a Republican as VP. I already stated why this is a bad idea, and I’m not trying to go in circles. Biden is a walking disaster.

He can’t have a Republican as his VP or does that matter?
Not when you’re fukking going to be an 80 year old president. One fall or slowed heartbeat away from a republican president. Republicans never say this shyt yet Dems grovel, beg, pander and look subservient in their desire to appear to “reach across the aisle”

No it’s not. It means that he doesn’t recognize the times we are living in. The Republican Party have put in straight White Supremacists Judges, have taking healthcare away from millions of people, have supported laws like Blue Lives Matter, are itching to go to War with Iran, and are trying to cut entitlements like social security. This shows how out of touch he his. The Republicans worked non stop for 8 years to stop everything Obama tried to do. Even if it was a Republican idea. This means Biden has learned nothing and his presidency would be a complete waste.
Biden is the only Democratic candidate who is openly repudiating Obama, and Obama-nites are still stanning.

The only hope is really Young Bernard, but I still think Trump beats him.
I agree. I personally like Liz better, and think she would be a better president. However, I’m concerned she wouldn’t be able to hold up to Trump attacks. Plus it seems both moderates and progressives are hell bent on seeing he fail. I have my criticisms of Bernie, but at least he has passionate grass root support. It is possible he can create a higher turnout. I would still be concerned about some of Hillary’s hardcore supporters not voting for him. His age is also a problem.

They aren’t voting for him. They will pull a 2008 again, except they won’t vote this time.

Bernie can turn out new voters, which is why I think he has the best chance. You have to counter the GOP’s voter suppression actions by getting new voters in areas that aren’t democratic strongholds.

Everyone else is trying to turn Trump voters into Dem voters and that’s not going to work. The problem for Bernie is Dem voters think the Dem establishment is fine.

I also agree that Liz would be the better president too because she speaks the Dem establishment language but she is flailing right now.

The only way to beat Trump is to cause young people to show up in insane numbers. Millennials just surpassed generation x in the workforce. Bernie might be the only one who can. The question is whether Democrats will try to destroy him in order to spite the left. Bernie winning literally puts their jobs at risk. That is why I’ve been so in on Warren. She has a degree of institutional support that he does not and she’s a woman.

Unfortunately everything you said in the bold is facts. It will be interesting to see if the Democratic establishment would undermine Bernie if he is the nominee. I thought Liz could bridge the gap with moderates and progressives, but it looks like that didn’t work. I would hope the establishment sucks it up and support him.

Yeah because she accepts money from billionaires and has expressed willingness to take PAC money to beat Donald Trump. Being more corrupt than Bernie doesn’t make her a better candidate

If the difference between Bernie winning and losing is him accepting big money, would you still be against him taking that money?

Bernie's approach to getting non-voters to vote is a risky strategy but the correct one. If you're going to win the Dem primary, not be able to get big baby boomer support and have support confined to Gen-Z, Millenials, and a good portion of Gen-Xers then thats what you have to do.

And in 2016, we had 4 million who voted in 2012 that didn't even vote at all.

this strategy is the only reason house democrats won the house.

2 progressive candidates flipped republican districts in 2018.

Moderates flipped 38.

I get all of y’all have the pie in the sky theories about how a progressives will won the presidency but you all fail to even acknowledge why dems won the house and gave progressives the platform to even speak about their ideas.

In 2018, we ran moderates that flipped republican districts.

Why are y’all trying to downplay that?:dwillhuh:

Imagine if progressives flipped republican seats at a 92% rate in 2018 and then moderates come and say...:whoa: I have a better strategy.

:shaq2:

y’all refuse to just deal with the facts. Dems win by running moderates.

these are facts, your theories are unfounded. Y’all need to deal with the reality of what this country is :dahell:

Follow me for a second.:lolbron:

Is there anything that suggests Obama Trump voters want to be won back.

I I feel like I remember a poll from 2018 where they wanted the House to go dem to hold Trump accountable, but they also wanted Trump to remain president.

:francis:

Some of them will go back to voting Dem, sure. All of them? fukk no.

Which is why you go for the biggest swing voter... the non-voters who sat out in 2016.

I did read yesterday that the DNC, despite their issues and money lagging, has knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors in the swing states already and is identifying office space way before convention time for the nominee in many states.
