I think it would blow up the deficit, but it's not a terrible idea.
Like anything else, it would only blow up the deficit if Congress fails to fund it adequately.
It would just have to be funded by increasing taxes (preferably on the rich) or reducing the spending on other stuff (preferably the military budget).

That is a moderate cuck strategy that never works. Hillary tried that stupid strategy and lost. Those "moderate Republican voters" almost ALWAYS choose the REAL Republican and not the Republican-lite.
The Dems should be appealing to their base and their path to victory is always based on high voter turnout and young voters. Dems got 59% of the women's vote in 2018 for the House Mid-term elections. Repubs got 40% That deficit will bury them.
The Midwest has turned back to blue (Penn,MIch,Wisc). Trump will NOT win those states again in 2020.
