Polls should be ignored the entire election. Nobody in here that keep posting polls learned from 2016.
but the polls says my candidate of choice is winning :sadcam:

In 2018, Michigan elected a female Dem governor and senator
Wisconsin elected a female Dem senator
Kansas elected a female Dem governor
Iowa elected a female Dem governor

I think dudes on here are trying justify their own biases by blaming cacs in the midwest that "wouldn't" vote for Liz.
i dont know man, i think an old white man is the way to go, *insert non coastal state* would never vote for a woman :troll:

Trump won by the slimmest of margins, and to a uniquely shytty candidate! So unless you think he's become wildly more popular since 2016, I don't understand this guarded, fearful stance like he's fukkin Thanos or something.
"You know, I've got the big glove, folks. I went around, so many places, so many places, folks. I got all the gems and put them in the infinite glove, and a lot of people are saying..."

Trump and the midterm elections are two different things. Cant be compared. Congress/Governor and the Presidency are different things. They cant be compared.

What are the differences between the two that would cause the same voters to happily vote for a female governer/senator...but would then cause them to not vote for a female president (based on gender)?

I agree this is exactly what it is. All it does is reinforce the belief that a woman can't win.
If you don't vote for Liz based on the belief that other people won't do it because she's female, you still took a vote from her based on gender.

A lot of this BS people say about electability and What Would Old Midwest Whites do is nothing but

So did the Republican takeover of the House in 2010 meant Obama was in danger of not getting reelected?

Governor and Senator is not as important as a President. Plus Trump has successfully capitalized on sexism and the strong man leader image. No female can compare to that. They may win the popular vote but not the electoral.
