The conundrum is, safe moderates don't win presidential general elections. Who was the last president who ran as a safe moderate? Hillary, John Kerry, Romney, McCain, Gore, Bob Dole, etc. were all losers. I see Joe Biden in that same reign. All the presidents we've had in the past few decades won running some version of right wing or left wing populism. A lot of people would rather sit home than go out to vote for someone who they believe represents the status quo. As much as we hate Trump, he does an excellent job painting himself as the ultimate outsider fighting the corrupt establishment, which is how he will portray himself against Biden.

Regardless, I still think Bernie wins the primary this time around. :yeshrug:
That only works in the general though.

You don’t run an insurgence campaign in a primary. The reason you get a f—k both sides candidate is when disaffected members on both sides want something else which is enough to overcome the two-party system ala Jesse in MN or Arnold in Cali.

Ignore the source. Just look at this anti Biden ad that Trump already has out there. This kind of stuff will be EVERYWHERE. Constantly. Like....they are absolutely licking their chops if you nominate this guy. This is before you start going into the Ukraine and weird sniffing and shyt.

Like....how do you run this guy if your plan is to actually win?

So you don't think Trump running a massive ad campaign painting Bernie as a socialist/commmunist boogeyman that will have America looking like current Venezuela or end stage Soviet Russia, tanking the markets, ruining the economy, and forcing people to buy small hybrid cars is just as bad?

:mjlol:

Every candidate is flawed. That comes with the territory.

Any Democrat going against Trump is going to get painted as a baby-killing, tax-raising socialist, doesn't matter if it's Biden or Bernie. Obama is proof you can overcome those labels. The question is who is going excite more people to come out to vote for them.

Which is fine.

But don't base a choice off of being scared of what ads Trump is going to run. That's stupid.

Sanders could've wrapped it up early had he and his fans not managed to piss off everyone who wasn't them.

Let's not get into the feasibility of Sanders passing anything through Congress just yet. :heh:
Oh so SC doesn't really like Biden they are just mad @ his supporters. :russ:

And it is still early, we have had four primaries.
